What does the Bible mean when it says that life is like a mist?
The Bible does not teach that life on earth is meaningless or that we should abandon our families, work, responsibilities, or hopes. It teaches that this earthly life is temporary and should not become the center of our hearts. Our true home is heaven, and we are travelers staying on this earth for a short time. Therefore, we should care faithfully for everything God has entrusted to us without living as though this world were our eternal home.
Problems begin when we try to hold on to temporary things as though they were permanent. We think that we must have more money, success, comfort, recognition, or control in order to be happy. Then we begin to depend on our own wisdom and methods rather than on God.
We may neglect worship on the Lord’s Day because of work or money. We may hate and fight with others to protect our interests. We may become greedy or justify wrong actions by saying that we had no other choice.
The problem is not that we do not know God’s Word. The problem is that our hearts are still centered on this world. When temporary gain becomes more important than obedience, we try to catch the mist. The more tightly we hold it, the more fear, anxiety, conflict, and disappointment enter our hearts.
When heaven is at the center of our lives, our choices change. Even when obedience appears to bring a loss, we choose honesty. When we have a reason to hate, we choose forgiveness. Instead of fighting for pride and personal benefit, we pursue peace. Instead of living by greed, we remain thankful and faithful.
Jesus said, “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” — Matthew 6:33
Seeking God’s kingdom first does not mean ignoring our earthly needs. It means doing our best without placing our own methods above God’s Word. We work faithfully, obey God, and leave the results in His hands, trusting that our heavenly Father knows what we need.
When heaven becomes the center of our hearts, the mist begins to clear. The anxiety, greed, hatred, and conflict caused by trying to control and possess everything begin to lose their power. God gives us peace, joy, and contentment, and He provides what we need according to His wisdom and timing.
The meaning of “life is like a mist” is not that we should reject this life. It means that temporary things must not become the center of our lives. Our home is heaven, and while we live on earth, we are called to seek God’s kingdom, obey His Word, and faithfully enjoy the life He provides.
Today’s Prayer
Heavenly Father, our true home is with You.
Forgive us for placing temporary earthly things at the center of our hearts. We have relied on our own wisdom and methods to gain and protect what we wanted. We have sometimes ignored Your Word, hated others, fought for our own interests, and allowed greed to enter our hearts.
Help us remember that we are travelers on this earth and that our eternal home is heaven. Teach us to care faithfully for our families, work, and responsibilities without making earthly success, money, or comfort the purpose of our lives.
Help us seek first Your kingdom and righteousness. Give us faith to obey Your Word and entrust the results to You. May the mist of anxiety, greed, hatred, and conflict disappear from our hearts. Fill us with the true peace and joy that come from trusting You, and provide everything we need according to Your good will.

Today this message made me understand a very important thing, that nothing can be greater than God and His will. While living in this world, we may be misled or become trapped by worldly desires. But we should never place anything above God not money, not success, and nothing else. When we walk according to God’s will and give Him the first place in our lives, He graciously provides us with everything we need, even without us asking. His love is truly great. Whenever I experience His love, it gives me the strength to overcome the desires of this world and remain focused on Him.

कई बार हम धन, सफलता, आराम, पहचान और अपनी परिस्थितियों को नियंत्रित करने के पीछे भागते हैं, यह सोचकर कि यही हमें खुशी और शांति देंगे। लेकिन जब हम अस्थायी चीजों को परमेश्वर की इच्छा से ऊपर रखने लगते हैं, तो हमारे जीवन में चिंता, डर, निराशा और संघर्ष बढ़ने लगते हैं।
मैंने अपने जीवन में यह अनुभव किया है कि परमेश्वर के मार्ग हमेशा हमारे मार्गों से बेहतर होते हैं। एक समय ऐसा आया जब मैंने परमेश्वर की आवाज़ को मानकर किसी की मदद करने का निर्णय लिया, जबकि वह मेरे लिए आसान नहीं था। मुझे नहीं पता था कि मेरी उस छोटी सी आज्ञाकारिता के बदले परमेश्वर मुझे कितनी बड़ी आशीष देने वाला है। लेकिन परमेश्वर ने मुझे मेरी सोच से भी बड़ी आशीष दी। उस अनुभव ने मुझे सिखाया कि जब हम परमेश्वर को पहला स्थान देते हैं और उस पर भरोसा रखते हैं, तो वह हमारी उन बातों का भी ध्यान रखता है जिन्हें हम स्वयं नियंत्रित नहीं कर सकते।
इस पृथ्वी पर हमारा जीवन छोटा है, लेकिन हमारा प्रेम, दया, आज्ञाकारिता और विश्वास परमेश्वर की नजरों में अनमोल हैं। जब हम पहले परमेश्वर के राज्य को खोजते हैं, तो वह हमें वह शांति देता है जो यह संसार कभी नहीं दे सकता।
“इसलिए पहले तुम परमेश्वर के राज्य और उसके धर्म की खोज करो, तो ये सब वस्तुएं भी तुम्हें मिल जाएंगी।” मत्ती 6:33
मेरी प्रार्थना है कि मेरा हृदय कभी भी इस संसार की अस्थायी चीजों से इतना न जुड़ जाए कि मैं उस परमेश्वर को भूल जाऊं जिसने मुझे सब कुछ दिया है। यह जीवन केवल एक यात्रा है, मेरा असली घर परमेश्वर के साथ है। ❤️
Greetings to you all in the name of Jesus.
Today, in God’s Word, we learned that we should put away our worldly desires because this earth is not our true home. We are only travelers and strangers here. Our real and eternal home is in Heaven. While we are on this earth, we must train ourselves spiritually so that one day we may meet our Heavenly Father, our Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit in the Kingdom of Heaven.
Today, many of us are caught up in worldly things, such as spending time on social media or longing for the things of this world that we enjoy. Because of this, we often forget to make time for our Heavenly Father. That is why today I want to say that I will make time for my Father and practice living according to His Word. Obeying God’s Word is what strengthens our faith, and His commandments are the most important guide for our lives.
Let us love our Heavenly Father more than anything else because the pleasures of this world last only for a moment. They can give us temporary happiness, but our Father gives us eternal joy. He even gave His only Son for us because of His great love.
Whenever the Sabbath came, I used to spend time on social media. That was my mistake, and because of it I could not observe the Sabbath as I should have. But from now on, I will not do that anymore. I will honor the Sabbath and strive to live according to God’s Word because I want to reach my true home, the New Jerusalem, and be with my Heavenly Father forever.

As a woman of faith, I have learned that life truly is like a mist. It does not mean that our lives, dreams, families, or responsibilities do not matter. It means that everything we hold on to in this world is temporary, and our hearts should always remain focused on God and our eternal home with Him.
Many times, we chase success, money, comfort, recognition, and control, thinking these things will bring us peace. But when we place temporary things above God’s will, we end up carrying anxiety, fear, disappointment, and unnecessary struggles.
I have personally experienced that God’s ways are always higher than ours. There was a time when I obeyed God’s voice and decided to help someone, even when it was not the easiest choice for me. I did not know what blessing would come from that act of obedience, but God surprised me with a greater blessing than I could have imagined. It reminded me that when we put God first and trust Him, He takes care of the things we cannot control.
Life on this earth is short, but our obedience, kindness, love, and faithfulness have eternal value. When we seek God’s kingdom first, He gives us peace that the world cannot give.
Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

My prayer is that my heart will never cling so tightly to temporary things that I forget the One who gave me everything. This life is only a journey; my true home is with God. ❤️

जीवन एक धुंध की तरह है मैने इस सन्देश से यह सीखी कि पृथ्वी पर जो जीवन है वह अर्थहीन है हम इस पृथ्वी पे एक यात्री है इस पृथ्वी की सारी चीजें लुप्त हो जाएगी तो हमर घर स्वर्ग है तो हमें इस संसार की चीजों से चिपके नहीं रहना चाहिए qki ये सब बदल जाएगा लुप्त हो जाएगा संसार की सारी चीजें धुंध है जैसे ,धन ,भय,चिंता,सफलता ,पहचान ये सब धुंध है ,लेकिन जैसे ही हम परमेश्वर के राज्य की खोज करते है और वचन का पालन करते है तो जो धुंध है वह छटने लगता है हमे स्वर्गीय जीवन जीना चाहिए जैसे दूसरों को माफ करना प्रेम करना भलाई करना तो हम परमेश्वर के गरीब जा सकते है
We are travellers living for a short while and know almost nothing about the truth of many things like the universe for example. We are just a tiny dot in space among millions of stars and planets which God also created. Life on earth is temporary. We all have responsibilities and lives of our own but that doesn’t mean we should make it the center of our heart. We think that money, success and all the things that satisfy us are permanent but it is not. Due to these very things, we have ignored the one who created us to enjoy these pleasures in the first place. The truth of life is honestly a little scary but also meaningful. We shouldn’t brag about the things we possess and instead we should thank the Lord for gifting us the things we have. We shouldn’t be mean and arrogant if we have more than someone else and instead use the blessings we have to help the people in need. We have recieved countless blessings and still complain that we have less. The blessing of life, two hands, two legs, two eyes, two ears, a mouth, a home, education, love and so much more. We should be thankful everyday. We have lived with hatred and anger for the smallest things. Everything happens for a reason. Maybe whatever reason that has made you angry is a blessing in disguise. Heaven is our eternal home and God is our father in heaven and God will look after us, care for us and love us. Therefore, we must obey God and enjoy whatever he has provided us with gratefulness and happiness and love the Lord with all your heart, mind and soul.

मैं प्रतिदिन यह सोचती हूँ कि परमेश्वर ने मेरे लिए उस अत्यंत सुंदर स्वर्गीय राज्य में एक घर तैयार किया है। और जब प्रभु मुझे लेने आएँगे, तब मैं उनके साथ वहाँ रहूँगी और सदैव उनके साथ आनंद मनाऊँगी।

Today I learned that in this world, we have been given relationships and responsibilities, and we should fulfill those responsibilities faithfully. However, all of these are temporary and should not become the center of our hearts. We should live our lives on this earth with the hope that God has prepared a better place for us in heaven. When the Lord comes, He will take us with Him to heaven, and that heavenly life will be eternal. Therefore, we must guard ourselves against the temptations of this world and give God the first place in our hearts.

मेरा खुद का भी यही Personal Experience रहा है—जब भी मैंने वर्क, पैसों और सांसारिक सफलता के पीछे भागकर hustle mode में सब कुछ कंट्रोल करने की कोशिश की, मुझे सिर्फ Burnout, Stress और Anxiety ही मिली। लेकिन जब मैंने ठहराव लिया, परमेश्वर पर भरोसा किया और उनकी गाइडेंस को पहली प्रायोरिटी बनाया, तब जाकर लाइफ में असली Peace of Mind मिला।

मैं हर दिन यह सोचकर जीने की कोशिश करती हूँ कि मेरा असली घर स्वर्ग में है, जहाँ मैं हमेशा के लिए अपने प्रभु, परमेश्वर, पवित्र आत्मा और अपने प्रियजनों के साथ रहूँगी।
हाँ, जीवन में प्रलोभन आते हैं, लेकिन मैं ऊपर से मिलने वाली सहायता के द्वारा उनका विरोध करने का प्रयास करती हूँ।
कल ही की बात है। मेरे पास एक ऐसी चीज़ थी जिसकी किसी दूसरी बहन को मुझसे अधिक आवश्यकता थी। मैंने कुछ क्षण सोचा और फिर उसे वही चीज़ दे दी। मेरे मन में यही विचार था कि शायद उसे इसकी मुझसे ज़्यादा ज़रूरत है। और आप विश्वास नहीं करेंगे—कुछ ही मिनटों बाद मुझे ऑनलाइन पैसे प्राप्त हुए।
इसीलिए मैं पूरे विश्वास के साथ लोगों से गवाही देती हूँ और प्रचार करती हूँ कि परमेश्वर सचमुच जीवित हैं। वह सब कुछ देखते हैं, सब कुछ सुनते हैं और एक प्रेमी पिता की तरह हर समय हमारी देखभाल करते हैं।
मैं और मेरे पति अपने विश्वासयोग्य सर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वर का उन अनगिनत प्रेम, अनुग्रह और आशीषों के लिए कभी पर्याप्त धन्यवाद नहीं कर सकते जो उन्होंने हम पर बरसाए हैं और आने वाले वर्षों में भी बरसाते रहेंगे।
मैं अपने उद्धारकर्ता प्रभु यीशु मसीह के नाम में प्रार्थना करती हूँ कि परमेश्वर मेरे जीवन से हर प्रकार की बुराई को दूर करें और मुझे मसीह यीशु के प्रति प्रेम की सबसे ऊँची अवस्था तक पहुँचाएँ।

For example, Yesterday, I had something which someone else needed. I thought for few seconds and decided to give it to the other person, thinking may be she need this more than me… and guess what? In few minutes, I received money online … Thats why I always confess and preach to people that God is real and He does see and hear everything. He watches us over like a loving Dad…
I and my husband can never thank our Faithful God almighty for all the love and blessings he bestowed upon us and will shower more in coming years ahead in the name of our Saviour I pray to cast every form of evil and reach the most high level of love for Christ Jesus, in Jesus Christ’s name I pray Amen!!!!
