Peter and John were going up to the temple to pray. At the temple gate called Beautiful, there was a man who could not walk. He was not someone who had recently injured his legs. He had never been able to walk from birth.
Every day, people carried him and placed him at the temple gate. Because he could not walk by himself, he sat there and begged from those entering the temple. According to Acts 4, he was already over forty years old.
That day, when he saw Peter and John, he asked them for money. Peter looked at him and said, Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk. — Acts 3:6
Peter took him by the right hand and helped him up. Immediately, the man’s feet and ankles became strong. A man who had never walked in his entire life stood up. He did not just take a few steps. He began to walk and jump, and he entered the temple with Peter and John on his own feet.
He jumped to his feet and began to walk. Then he went with them into the temple courts, walking and jumping, and praising God. — Acts 3:8
The people knew who he was. He was the same man who had sat every day at the temple gate begging. A man who had been unable to walk for more than forty years was now walking and jumping before their eyes. Naturally, the people were amazed, and their attention turned to Peter and John.
Peter was not an unknown man. He was one of the leading disciples among the Twelve. He had followed Jesus closely, heard His teaching directly, witnessed many miracles, and experienced the death and resurrection of Jesus. After Pentecost, Peter became one of the leading apostles of the early church.
Since such an amazing miracle had happened through Peter, the people might have wondered, Did Peter receive some special power because he was a leading disciple of Jesus? Did this miracle happen because Peter was especially godly?
But when the people began to focus on him, Peter said, Fellow Israelites, why does this surprise you? Why do you stare at us as if by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk? — Acts 3:12
Notice the words power and godliness.
Of course, we should live godly lives. Following God’s Word, praying, turning away from sin, and loving God are all very important. But Peter’s godliness or power did not make this man walk. Even though Peter was a leading apostle who had followed Jesus closely, his own godliness or power was not the source of this miracle.
Then who made this man, who had been unable to walk for more than forty years, able to walk?
Peter turned the people’s attention away from himself and toward Jesus Christ, giving all the glory to God.
By faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus’ name and the faith that comes through him that has completely healed him, as you can all see. — Acts 3:16
Jesus Christ did it.
This does not mean that Peter did nothing. Peter approached the man, took him by the hand, helped him up, and proclaimed the name of Jesus Christ in faith. But Peter was not the one who gave strength to the feet and ankles of a man who had never walked. The Lord did it.
It was the same when the disciples of Jesus preached the gospel.
Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it. — Mark 16:20
The disciples went out and preached, but the Lord was the one who worked with them.
We also pray. We preach the Word. We love and serve others, and we faithfully do the work entrusted to us. We should also continue to grow in godliness. But when we see God at work, we need to understand more deeply what it means to say, I did not do this.
If we make God’s work appear to be the result of our own power or godliness, the glory that belongs to God can be given to a person instead. That is why Peter turned the people’s attention away from himself and toward Jesus.
We do the same. We proclaim Jesus. The Lord works with us. And we give all the glory to God.
मैंने इस संदेश से सीखा कि परमेश्वर का काम हमारी अपनी सामर्थ्य या धार्मिकता से नहीं, बल्कि यीशु मसीह की सामर्थ्य से होता है। हमें प्रार्थना और सेवा करते हुए अपना काम ईमानदारी से करना चाहिए, लेकिन हर सफलता और आशीष का श्रेय खुद को नहीं, बल्कि सारी महिमा परमेश्वर को देनी चाहिए।
इस संदेश के द्वारा मैं यह समझ पाई कि जब पतरस के द्वारा चमत्कार हुआ, तब उसने उस चमत्कार का श्रेय स्वयं नहीं लिया, बल्कि सारी महिमा परमेश्वर को दी। पतरस चाहता तो अपने बारे में घमंड कर सकता था कि, “मैं तो अनपढ़ हूँ, फिर भी मेरे द्वारा यह चमत्कार हुआ।” लेकिन उसने ऐसा बिल्कुल नहीं किया।
पतरस ने नम्रता और साहस के साथ यह गवाही दी कि यह कार्य उसकी अपनी सामर्थ्य से नहीं, बल्कि परमेश्वर की सामर्थ्य से हुआ है। उसने अपनी प्रशंसा करने के बजाय हर बात में परमेश्वर को ऊँचा उठाया और सारी महिमा प्रभु को दी।
इस संदेश से मुझे यह सीख मिलती है कि हमारे जीवन में भी जब कोई अच्छा कार्य होता है, जब हमें सफलता मिलती है या हमारे द्वारा किसी के जीवन में कोई भलाई होती है, तो हमें स्वयं की प्रशंसा करने या घमंड करने के बजाय सारी महिमा परमेश्वर को देनी चाहिए। हमें हमेशा याद रखना चाहिए कि जो कुछ भी हमारे द्वारा होता है, वह परमेश्वर की कृपा और सामर्थ्य से होता है।
इसलिए मैं भी चाहती हूँ कि अपने जीवन में अपनी प्रशंसा या बड़ाई खोजने के बजाय हर परिस्थिति में परमेश्वर को ऊँचा उठाऊँ, ताकि मेरे प्रत्येक कार्य और मेरे जीवन के द्वारा केवल मेरे प्रभु का नाम महिमा पाए आमीन। 🙏
धन्यवाद पिता परमेश्वर को करती हूं आज के वचन से हमने यह सीखा है कि एक जन्म का लंगड़ा प्रतिदिन मंदिर में भीख मांग रहा था जब मंदिर में देखा पतरस और यूहन्ना को देखा, तो उनसे पैसे मांगे। पतरस ने उसकी ओर देखकर कहा, “मेरे पास चांदी या सोना तो नहीं है, परन्तु जो कुछ मेरे पास है, वह मैं तुम्हें देता हूँ। नासरत के यीशु मसीह के नाम से, तुम चल फिर जन्म का लंगड़ा तुरंत उछालना या कूदने लगा इस तरह जब हम परमेश्वर पिता पर विश्वास करने लगते हैं पिता परमेश्वर हमारे जीवन में अपने दास द्वारा कार्य करते हैं हमें परमेश्वर के वचन का पालन करना सबसे महत्वपूर्ण बात है धन्यवाद पिता परमेश्वर
आज का यह संदेश हमें बिल्कुल साफ तौर से समझ जाना है कि हम कुछ भी नहीं है यीशु मसीह के नाम से उत्तर और चंगाई मिलती हैं प्रेरित ओ ने भी जब भी यीशु मसीह के नाम से प्रार्थना की तो चिन्ह चमत्कार हुए चेले जानते थे कि ये सब कुछ यीशु मसीह जो जीवित हैं वही कर रहे इसलिए कभी भी उन्होंने खुद को पहले आगे नहीं किया वरन सारी महिमा पिता परमेश्वर प्रभु को दिया इसलिए हमे दिए गए कार्य बहुत महत्वपूर्ण है अगर हम अपनी ईमानदारी विश्वास से करे तो प्रभु कहते है जो मुझे सामर्थ देता है उसमें मैं सब कुछ कर सकता हूं इसलिए हमे इस तथ्य को हमेशा सरण रखना कि उत्तर पिता परमेश्वर की ओर से यीशु मसीह के नाम से मिलती हैं
यह संदेश सच में बहुत सुंदर है, जो हमें मार्गदर्शन करता है और सही राह दिखाता है। जब हम परमेश्वर से प्रार्थना करते हैं या किसी की चंगाई के लिए प्रार्थना करते हैं और जब परमेश्वर अपने कार्यों को दिखाता है और हमारी प्रार्थना का उत्तर देता है, तो हमें यह नहीं सोचना चाहिए कि यह मेरी वजह से हुआ या मैंने प्रार्थना की, इसलिए वह व्यक्ति ठीक हुआ। हमें अपनी बड़ाई नहीं करनी चाहिए।
हमें स्वयं को नम्र और दीन रखना है। हमें अपने सभी कार्यों के द्वारा केवल और केवल परमेश्वर को महिमा देनी है। सब कुछ केवल परमेश्वर के द्वारा ही संभव है; वही सब कुछ करता है।
प्रभु, इस सुंदर संदेश के लिए आपका धन्यवाद।

Such a wonderful message it is. God is powerful, he can do anything. He created everything from nothing. He heals ti those who come to him. He forgives us n gives us so many chances. Only one God heals. When we pray for somebody n then that person gets better then we should not think that, the person healed becoz of me…! We cannot heal to anybody, only God can do this, becoz he has powers to heal.
Healing does not come from our hands, it comes from the hands of God. Therefore, we should not think that the person was healed becoz of me or that I healed them. We should give glory only our living God.
