A disciple must change. But what is the direction of that change?
Becoming a disciple does not mean that everyone must leave their job and daily life like Peter and become a pastor or full-time minister. It means living as a disciple of Jesus wherever God has placed us.
A homemaker can continue caring for the family. A student can continue studying, and a worker can continue doing their job. Their daily lives may look the same, but they are no longer living as their old selves. Now they live as a homemaker who is a disciple of Jesus, a student who is a disciple of Jesus, and a worker who is a disciple of Jesus.
Then what should change?
In the past, the rules I had made in my own heart were the standard for my life. I judged and made decisions according to what I knew, how I felt, and what I had experienced. I followed what I wanted and what benefited me.
But after becoming a disciple, the standard of our life changes. Instead of making our own thoughts, knowledge, feelings, experiences, and personal benefit our standard, we make the heart of Jesus Christ and His Word our standard. We believe His Word and put it into practice.
The Bible says that God wants us “to be conformed to the image of his Son” (Romans 8:29). There is a clear direction for the transformation of a disciple. The goal is not simply to become a better person. It is to become more like Jesus Christ. Our thoughts, hearts, words, and actions gradually become more like His.
Then how can we know what needs to change?
Through the Word of God, we discover what is different between Jesus and us. As we read and learn the Word, we ask, “I think this way, but what did Jesus say?” and “I act this way, but how did Jesus act?”
Through this process, we begin to see the things in us that are different from Jesus. Sometimes we must lay down what we believe is right. Sometimes we must give up what we want. This is part of what Jesus meant when He told us to deny ourselves. Our old self is crucified, our pride is humbled, and our hardened heart is broken so that God can change us into the person He desires.
God creates a pure heart within us and gives us a new spirit (Psalm 51:10; Ezekiel 36:26). Little by little, the image of Jesus Christ is formed in us.
Of course, we cannot become mature disciples from the beginning. Just as no one becomes an expert or a professional athlete overnight, and a child does not become an adult in one day, our faith also grows little by little through training.
What matters is that we do not stop growing. Today, we become a little more like Jesus than yesterday, and tomorrow, a little more like Him than today.
Discipleship is discovering our old ways through the Word, putting them aside one by one, and allowing the image of Jesus Christ to be formed in us.
Today, am I discovering what is different between Jesus and me through His Word and becoming a little more like Him?
इस संदेश से मुझे गहराई से यह समझ में आता है कि यदि हम सचमुच प्रभु यीशु के समान बनना और उनसे सीखना चाहते हैं, तो सबसे पहले अपने पुराने स्वभाव को अपने जीवन से दूर करना अत्यंत आवश्यक है। केवल बाहरी रूप से परिवर्तन करना ही पर्याप्त नहीं है, बल्कि हमारे हृदय में छिपे हुए उन दागों और कमज़ोरियों को भी प्रार्थना और उपवास के द्वारा दूर करना आवश्यक है, जो हमारे भीतर रह जाते हैं।
हमें हर पल अपने हृदय में भलाई, प्रेम और नम्रता को स्थापित करते रहना चाहिए, ताकि हमारा जीवन प्रभु के स्वरूप को प्रकट कर सके। प्रभु के कार्यों को करने का अर्थ केवल अपने जीवन की हर चीज़ छोड़ देना ही नहीं है, बल्कि जहाँ हम हैं, जिस स्थान पर हम काम करते हैं और जिन लोगों के बीच रहते हैं, वहीं अपने जीवन के द्वारा मसीह की सुगंध को और अधिक फैलाना है।
हमारा व्यवहार, हमारे शब्द और हमारे कार्य ऐसे हों कि हमारे जीवन को देखकर लोग प्रभु यीशु के प्रेम को अनुभव कर सकें। यही सच्चा परिवर्तन है—अपने पुराने स्वभाव को त्यागकर, प्रतिदिन प्रभु के हृदय और उनके चरित्र को अपने जीवन में स्थापित करना।
आज मैंने जाना कि परमेश्वर का शिष्य कैसा होता है और यीशु मसीह का शिष्य बनने के लिए मुझे कैसा होना चाहिए?
शिष्य शब्द से हमारे मन में क्या आता है? शिष्य होने का अर्थ यह नहीं है कि हमें सब कुछ छोड़कर पास्टर बन जाना है या अपनी सभी ज़िम्मेदारियों को छोड़कर केवल परमेश्वर के लिए कार्य करना है। अगर हम ऐसा सोचते हैं, तो इसका अर्थ है कि हम अपनी ज़िम्मेदारियों से छुटकारा पाना चाहते हैं।
लेकिन आज मुझे यह पता चला कि शिष्य होना अपनी ज़िम्मेदारियों से भागना नहीं, बल्कि उन्हें निभाना और परमेश्वर के वचन के अनुसार स्वयं को बदलना है। हमें अपने-अपने स्थान पर रहकर परमेश्वर के लिए उत्तम कार्य करना चाहिए और अपने जीवन के द्वारा उसे महिमा देनी चाहिए।
जब हम परमेश्वर का वचन सुनते हैं और बाइबल पढ़ते हैं, तब हमें पता चलता है कि हमें अपने अंदर कौन-कौन से बदलाव करने हैं और किन आदतों को बदलना है। हमें अपने जीवन में परमेश्वर के वचन को लागू करना चाहिए और एक सच्चे शिष्य की तरह उसके मार्ग पर चलना चाहिए।

Today I got to this from this beautiful sermon that becoming a disciple doesn’t mean that we should leave our jobs, responsibilities but it means doing bestest at our own place. I am a Student and yes I also wanna be a disciple of Jesus Christ but it doesn’t mean that I should leave my studies and focus only his kingdom instead, Jesus wants that we do our past at our position. So, as a Student I’ve to study hard n also do work for his kingdom and become a successful person so that I glorify him through my life…!

मैंने इससे सीखा कि यीशु मसीह का शिष्य बनने का अर्थ अपनी जिम्मेदारियों को छोड़ना नहीं, बल्कि जहाँ परमेश्वर ने रखा है, वहीं यीशु मसीह के वचन के अनुसार जीवन जीना है। मुझे अपने विचारों, भावनाओं, इच्छाओं और पुराने स्वभाव को उनके हृदय और वचन के अनुसार बदलते रहना चाहिए। शिष्यत्व एक दिन में पूरा नहीं होता, बल्कि हर दिन थोड़ा-थोड़ा यीशु मसीह के समान बनने की प्रक्रिया है।
जय मसीह की आज इस वचन से हम सीखे कि यीशु का शिष्य बनना इसका मतलब है हम जब अपनी पुरानी आदतों को जो हमारे हृदय के पाप स्वभाव हैं एक एक करके दूर करेंगे साथ ही प्रभु यीशु के सच्चा प्रेम का अभ्यास करेंगे तब हम उस शिष्य के सामान बन सकते है लेकिन जब वचन के आईने में देखते हैं जो सत्य है मेरे हृदय की गहराई में छुपी बहुत से ऐसे बुराई है जो हमें दूर करना है
धन्यवाद पिता परमेश्वर आज के संदेश से हम समझ पाए हैं बाइबल कहती है कि हम परमेश्वर के पुत्र के स्वरूप में अनुरूप बने फिर हमें कैसे पता चलेगा हमें किस चीज का बदलाव की जरूरत है हम बच्चन से समझ रहे हैं कि हमारे भीतर एक शुद्ध हृदय उत्पन्न परमेश्वर के वचन से अपने अंदर पुराने तौर तरीका को निकाल कर त्याग दें और अपने भीतर यीशु मसीह को ग्रहण करें हमें अपने पुराने स्वभाव को क्रूस पर चढ़ा दिए हैं हम अपनी सभी अहंकार को अपने अंदर से सभी कठोर हृदय को दूर कर दें ताकि परमेश्वर हमें बदल सके आज के वचन से हम यीशु मासी यह जान पा रहे हैं क्या मैं थोड़ा-थोड़ा करके प्रभु के लिए चल रही हूं धन्यवाद पिता परमेश्वर को करती हूं धन्यवाद पास्टर जी आज के संदेश जो दिए इतना हम समझ पाए
