My mother, age 50, suffered a brain hemorrhage five years ago. Over time, her health continued to deteriorate, and in March 2022 she was admitted to the hospital. She could not move her body at all and could not speak. Then, in July, she became unconscious.
The doctors said that no more treatment was possible and that she might live only one or two more days. They told us to take her home and prepare for the end of her life. When I heard this, I felt as if my whole world was collapsing. I could not accept that she would die like that.
At that time, although we had been raised in a Hindu family, our family had recently begun learning about Christianity through a friend and attending church for a few months. In desperation, I searched online for prayers for the sick so that my mother could receive prayer. As we prayed together, I began to notice that her condition slowly started to improve.
We were then guided to reflect on our lives and repent before God. We listened to the message of the gospel, which explained why only Jesus Christ is our Savior and how God provided salvation through the cross. As a family, we prayed for repentance and sincerely accepted Jesus Christ into our hearts.
After that, my mother gradually regained consciousness. She became able to move her body on her own, and the urine bag that had been attached to her was removed. Not long after, she began to speak again. Her condition continued to improve, and eventually she was discharged from the hospital.
Today, my mother is recovering her health. We give all thanks and glory to God, who is alive and working even now. Through this experience, we came to know the true way of salvation and the love of the Lord who leads us to eternal life.
