Walking with Jesus Every Day

Do you want to walk with Jesus? Then we would all answer, “Yes.”

However, when we look at reality, not everyone wants to walk with Jesus all the time. Some people want to walk with the Lord only when they need Him.

So why do people struggle to walk with Jesus consistently? It is not because they dislike the Lord. The real reason is that they have not let go of sin. Often, it is because people want to hold on to sin that they struggle to walk with the Lord. When we cling to sin, true fellowship with the Lord becomes difficult.

We often say that we are walking with the Lord. But how can there be true fellowship if there is no conversation? When we meet someone, we do not simply look at their face and leave without speaking. We talk, we share our hearts, and we share our feelings. A relationship without conversation cannot continue. Our relationship with the Lord is the same.

Then how can we truly walk with the Lord? The answer is clear. We meet the Lord through the Word. The Word of God is the starting point of our conversation with Him.

When we listen to the Word, read the Word, meditate on the Word, and live in obedience to the Word, we truly meet the Lord. Through the Word, our relationship with Him is restored and becomes deeper.

When we live in obedience to the Word, our lives begin to change. Even as we live through all 24 hours of the day, we can live without hatred or irritation, but with joy, gratitude, and the hope of Heaven.

Although we are not perfect, as we meditate on the Word every day, pray, and practice what we have learned, this is what it means to walk with the Lord. Through this process, we grow.

The Lord has already made a promise to us. He said that He will be with those who remain in the Word to the very end.

May today also be a day when we walk with the Lord through His Word.
