Many people believe they already understand God’s Word, but the Bible warns that knowledge alone can lead to pride. “Now concerning things sacrificed to idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge makes arrogant, but love edifies. If anyone thinks that he knows anything, he does not yet know as he ought to know.” (1 Corinthians 8:1–2)
In 1 Corinthians 8, the apostle Paul speaks about food sacrificed to idols. At first glance, it may seem like a simple issue about food. However, this passage is not really about the physical food we eat. It carries a deeper spiritual meaning found in Christian Bible teaching and biblical interpretation.
Jesus once said that whoever eats His flesh and drinks His blood has eternal life. This does not refer to physical food, but to spiritual food in the Bible, which means hearing the Word of God and living according to it. When we receive the Word and practice it, we receive life. This is the foundation of Christian spiritual growth and true knowledge of God.
Then what does food sacrificed to idols mean? It is not only food offered before a statue. Spiritually, it means accepting and following teachings that are against God. The world is full of knowledge and ideas. Some of them belong to the truth of God, but some stand against Him.
For example, ideas that deny God as the Creator, such as evolution, or teachings that say we should live only for our own benefit and pursue ourselves first. These ways of thinking place the self at the center instead of God. When people accept such ideas and live by them, they are spiritually eating food sacrificed to idols, which the Bible warns believers to discern and avoid.
People learn many things through school and through the world. Yet not all knowledge is the same. Some knowledge belongs to the biblical truth and Christian faith, and some knowledge opposes Him. We must discern what we accept. We should receive knowledge that is rooted in the Word of God and biblical wisdom and reject ideas that go against God. What we choose to accept will shape our thoughts and our lives.
Paul also says, “If anyone thinks that he knows anything, he does not yet know as he ought to know.” It is easy for people to think they know the Word once they have heard it. But true knowledge is not simply understanding with the mind. It is revealed in how we live. If someone says they know the Word but still hates others, still holds anger, and still refuses to forgive, the Word has not yet become their life. This teaching reveals an important principle in Christian discipleship and spiritual maturity.
We truly come to know the Word when we practice it. When we forgive others, we begin to understand how God has forgiven us. At that moment we move beyond knowledge in the mind and begin to understand the heart of God. This is what the Bible calls true knowledge and living faith in Christianity.
The world offers many kinds of knowledge, but we must continually discern what we receive and what we follow. When we hear the Word of God and live according to it, we move beyond mere knowledge and come to truly know Him. This is the path of Christian spiritual transformation and biblical obedience.
Knowledge can make a person proud, but love builds others up. Therefore we should not stop at knowing the Word, but practice it in our lives. Only then will we truly know God and experience a deeper relationship with God through His Word.

यह वचन हमें नम्र रहने की भी शिक्षा देता है। हमें कभी यह नहीं सोचना चाहिए कि हम सब कुछ जानते हैं, बल्कि हमेशा सीखने की इच्छा रखनी चाहिए। जब हम नम्र होकर परमेश्वर से ज्ञान मांगते हैं और प्रेम के साथ जीवन जीते हैं, तब हमारा जीवन परमेश्वर को प्रसन्न करता है और दूसरों के लिए आशीष बन जाता है।

This message teaches us that if we think we have already knowledge about bible or word of God or we already understood God’s word then, bible warna us that knowledge alone can lead to pride. We learn so many things n get knowledge through school n sometimes it might be different from biblical knowledge, we should receive knowledge that is rooted in the Word of God and biblical wisdom and reject ideas that go against God.
We can truly understand word of God only when we practice it. When we heard word of God and follow in our spiritual life then we can say that we truly know word of God.
For example:- If we Heard that we have to forgive others n we donot follow in our life, if somebody said something wrong to us n we say same n don’t forgive him then we can’t say that we know word of God….
Knowing word of God means follow word of God.

वचन सुनने के बाद वे उसे जान गए हैं। लेकिन सच्चा ज्ञान केवल मन से समझना नहीं है। यह हमारे जीवन जीने के तरीके में प्रकट होता है। यदि कोई कहता है कि वह वचन जानता है, लेकिन फिर भी दूसरों से घृणा करता है, क्रोध रखता है और क्षमा करने से इनकार करता है, तो वचन अभी तक उसके जीवन का हिस्सा नहीं बना है। यह शिक्षा मसीही शिष्यत्व और आत्मिक परिपक्वता के एक महत्वपूर्ण सिद्धांत को प्रकट करती है।
हम परमेश्वर के वचन को तभी सही मायने में जान पाते हैं जब हम उसका अभ्यास करते हैं। जब हम दूसरों को क्षमा करते हैं, तब हम यह समझने लगते हैं कि परमेश्वर ने हमें कैसे क्षमा किया है। उस क्षण हम बौद्धिक ज्ञान से आगे बढ़कर परमेश्वर के हृदय को समझने लगते हैं। बाइबल इसी को सच्चा ज्ञान और ईसाई धर्म में जीवंत विश्वास कहती है।
