People never call the day their loved one dies a “good day.” That day is a day of sorrow, not a day of joy. Yet Christians say they love Jesus, and still they call the day He died “Good Friday.” Why is that? Why not simply call it “the day Jesus died”?
To understand this, we must understand the spiritual world. After Adam sinned, the enemy, the devil, received authority over this world. But according to Genesis, there was a promise that the offspring of the woman would crush the serpent’s head. The devil knew that one day the Messiah would come and destroy his authority. So when Jesus came into this world, attempts began to eliminate Him.
One clear example is the massacre of the infants in Bethlehem. King Herod heard that the “King of the Jews” had been born, and he ordered all boys under two years old in Bethlehem and nearby areas to be killed. This was not just political fear. It was a real historical event, and behind it was a spiritual battle to destroy the Messiah.
The devil’s thinking was simple: “If Jesus dies, it is over.” If He lives, He will complete the work of salvation. But if He is killed, He cannot continue. So the devil tried to kill Him before that work was finished.
But this was a fatal mistake.
The spiritual law is this: “The wages of sin is death.” Those who have sin must die. But those without sin cannot be held by death. Jesus had no sin. So killing Him broke this law, and at that moment, the power of death was broken.
Jesus did not remain in death. He rose again. And because of this, those who believe in Him are no longer children of the devil. Like something bought back with a price, they are returned to God as His children. In this way, the way of salvation was opened.
The Bible says that if the rulers of this world had understood this, they would not have crucified Jesus. That day was full of pain and sorrow, but it also became the day the way of salvation was opened.
What looks like the most tragic day to man
became the greatest victory in God’s plan.

Everyone after reading this message I got know that why do we call it Good Friday to that day when Jesus Christ was crucified on the cross.
We call it Good Friday because he died for me, for you, for we all.
Because he was sinless therefore, when he died on the cross he broke the laws of the spiritual world.
He has freed us from the darkness of eternity.
