Freed from 35 Years of Darkness Through Prayer and Faith | Christian Testimony

Sukhdev (Age 48, Gorakhpur Manmin Church, India)

When I was 13 years old, I began to suffer from seizures two or three times a week. After that, my life completely changed. I always felt heavy and tired, and I suffered from severe headaches and burning pain in my eyes.

Because I was always afraid of having another seizure, I could not go out freely. My blood pressure became high, and I often quarreled with others. I fought frequently with my family, and I could not study or live a normal life.

I visited shamans many times and went to all the temples around my house, but nothing helped at all. I continued to live in pain and despair.

During those difficult days, I came to hear the gospel. Through God’s Word, I learned about the love of Jesus Christ on the cross. I reflected on my life, repented of my past sins, and decided to live according to God’s Word.

As I prayed with a sincere heart, my fear and anxiety disappeared. I felt peace in my heart. The headaches and burning pain in my eyes were completely gone, and my whole body felt light.

Today, I have recovered and am working at a factory in Kanpur, India. After 35 years of suffering, I received new life by the grace of the Lord and began to live a new life.

I give all thanks and glory to the living God, who is working even now. Through this experience, I came to know His grace and the true freedom that comes from Jesus Christ.
