Before setting your New Year’s goals, ask this one life-changing question. Discover how seeking God’s kingdom first brings true blessings and fulfillment in the coming year
We hope that the new year will be a life filled with more answers and blessings. However, when we make plans for the new year, there is one important thing we must carefully examine.
Have we not often lived like this? We make our own plans first, set our own goals, and then pray to God, saying, “Please fulfill this wish for me.” But in that process, we may have missed something more important. We did not first ask what God wants from us.
We confess with our lips that God is our Lord. But if we decide first and then ask God to help us walk the path we already chose, who is truly the Lord, and who is the servant? Furthermore, when what we want does not happen, we sometimes complain to God and become discouraged.
But the Bible clearly tells us what God desires for us. God wants us to prosper in all things as our soul prospers and to be in good health. The Lord also made this promise: “Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” That is why Scripture teaches us not to seek what the unbelieving world seeks, not to hold on to what the world holds first, but to seek God’s kingdom and His righteousness before anything else.
In this new year, before asking what we want to achieve, let us first ask, “Lord, what do You desire?” Then God will add even the things we did not know how to ask for, at the right time and in the right way.

यह लेख मेरे दिल को छू गया। मैंने समझा कि कई बार मैं पहले अपनी ही योजनाएँ बना लेता हूँ और फिर परमेश्वर से कहता हूँ कि वे उन्हें पूरा करें। लेकिन सही बात यह है कि हमें पहले यह पूछना चाहिए कि प्रभु हमारे जीवन से क्या चाहते हैं। अगर हम पहले खुद तय करें और बाद में परमेश्वर से मदद माँगें, तो फिर सच्चा प्रभु कौन हुआ—यह सोचने की बात है।
“प्रभु, आप मुझसे क्या चाहते हैं?” यह प्रश्न हमारे जीवन की दिशा बदल देता है। यह हमें अपनी इच्छाओं से हटाकर परमेश्वर के राज्य और उसकी धार्मिकता की ओर ले जाता है। मेरा विश्वास है कि जब हम पहले उसकी इच्छा को खोजते हैं, तो वह हमें सही मार्ग दिखाता है और सही समय पर वे आशीषें भी देता है, जिनके बारे में हमने सोचा भी नहीं होता।
नए साल की शुरुआत में यह संदेश हमें याद दिलाता है कि हम अपनी योजनाएँ परमेश्वर को सौंप दें, अपने दिल को उसकी इच्छा के अनुसार ढालें, और पूरे विश्वास के साथ उसके मार्ग पर चलें।
यह संदेश सच में हमारे दिलों को जाँचने और सही दिशा दिखाने वाला है। नए साल में लक्ष्य बनाने से पहले यह पूछना कि “प्रभु, आपकी क्या इच्छा है?” हमारे जीवन को बदल सकता है। अक्सर हम अपनी योजनाएँ बनाकर परमेश्वर से आशीष माँगते हैं, लेकिन यह वचन हमें सिखाता है कि पहले परमेश्वर के राज्य और उसकी धार्मिकता को प्राथमिकता दें।
कृपया मेरे लिए प्रार्थना करें कि इस नए साल में मैं अपनी इच्छा से पहले प्रभु की इच्छा को खोज सकूँ और हर निर्णय में उनके मार्गदर्शन पर भरोसा करूँ। 🙏

हमें हमेशा परमेश्वर से यह नहीं कहना चाहिए कि,
“पिता जी, मुझे यह चाहिए” या “पिता जी, मुझे यह दिला दीजिए।”
बल्कि पहले हमें पिता परमेश्वर से यह पूछना चाहिए कि
“पिता जी, आप हमारे जीवन के लिए क्या चाहते हैं?”
हमें अपनी इच्छा ज़िद के रूप में नहीं माँगनी चाहिए,
क्योंकि हम नहीं जानते कि हमारे लिए क्या सही है।
पहले परमेश्वर की इच्छा जानना ज़रूरी है,
और फिर उसी के अनुसार माँगना चाहिए।

Lord God desires from me is to seek his kingdom and righteousness.
He will bless more and more as much as our soul will prosper for that we shouldn’t seek and hold what the world seek and hold first .

सचमुच, हम अपने रोज़मर्रा के जीवन में अक्सर यह बात भूल जाते हैं कि प्रभु आप हमसे क्या चाहते हैं। हम प्रार्थना तो करते हैं, लेकिन अपनी दैनिक प्रार्थनाओं में हमने कभी यह अंगीकार नहीं किया कि ‘प्रभु, आप आज मेरे जीवन से क्या चाहते हैं?’
हाँ, हम अपनी दिनचर्या (routine) के हिसाब से प्रार्थना करते हैं, लेकिन हमारे जीवन में हर दिन यह प्रार्थना करना बहुत ज़रूरी है कि ‘प्रभु, आपने आज का दिन दिखाया है, तो आप मेरे जीवन से क्या चाहते हैं?’
आज के इस सुंदर और जीवन बदलने वाले संदेश के लिए बहुत-बहुत धन्यवाद। पास्टर जी का विशेष धन्यवाद कि आज उन्होंने हमें बहुत अच्छे से सिखाया कि हमें कार्य करना है और मेहनत करनी है—आत्मिक तौर से भी और शारीरिक तौर से भी। और निश्चित रूप से, जब हम बुद्धिमान चींटियों के समान कार्य करेंगे, तो प्रभु भी हमें बहुतायत से आशीषें देंगे।”
Lord!!! Help me to everyday and in all ways ask you, “what do you desire ?” And help me to also understand your will fully and obey even if obeying feels hard… I pray that in this new year, I will become more obedient to Christ by killing my own desires… I pray this in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ… Amen!!!
