[KENYA] – What began as a humble evangelism mission in a remote village ten years ago has blossomed into a vibrant sanctuary of faith and hope. Bishop James Misiko Walubayi, leader of the Registered Namisi Church of Christ, recently shared a powerful testimony detailing a decade of ministry, community service, and a special spiritual connection to Korea.

A Journey of Transformation
Bishop James’s ministry started with a simple calling to reach a new village. Over the past ten years, his role evolved from an evangelist and teacher to the Office of a Pastor, leading a congregation that has seen miraculous growth. From its founding group of just six members, the church has expanded to serve 250 adults and more than 400 children, becoming a cornerstone of the local community.

Faith in Action Amidst Hardship
The ministry operates in a region where families frequently face severe hardships, including illness and a lack of basic necessities such as food, clothing, and adequate shelter. In response, Namisi Church of Christ has committed itself to “faith in action.” The church currently manages a dedicated feeding program for orphans and vulnerable children. Additionally, they have initiated small-scale farming projects to create sustainable resources for the poor. “We pass through many hardships,” Bishop James stated, “but we depend solely on God through prayer, trusting that He will meet every need.”

Bridging Nations through Spiritual Study
A significant highlight of the Bishop’s testimony is the ministry’s growing international bond with South Korea. Since 2025, Bishop James and his leaders have been participating in deep theological studies through the online teachings of Rev. Gideon MBstudy.com
“We are learning the Word of God deeper than ever before,” said Bishop James. “We thank God for connecting us with His servant, Dr. Gideon, and we pray that this spiritual partnership continues to strengthen our ministry.”

Prayer Requests for 2026
Bishop James invites the global community to join them in prayer for two primary focuses:
Salvation in 2026: We pray that 2026 will be a year of a great harvest of souls. Our vision is to reach every lost soul in the region and lead them to the light of Christ through our evangelism and teaching programs. Care for the Vulnerable: We seek God’s provision for our feeding programs for orphans, widows, and street kids. We pray that our 2026 farming projects will successfully provide food and hope to those in need.
